Our Wedding Rehearsal & Dinner

I could not have asked for a more meaningful wedding weekend. It was filled with family and friends who've been alongside Tim and I throughout our relationship, sharing wisdom and prayers. These photos are more of Adam Pratt's handiwork. He did a beautiful job capturing all the unique moments and emotion of our weekend.

These are a few words from the song "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof

Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at play?

I don't remember growing older
When did they?

When did she get to be a beauty?
When did he grow to be so tall?

Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small?

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze

Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears

What words of wisdom can I give them?
How can I help to ease their way?
Now they must learn from one another
Day by day

They look so natural together
Just like two newlyweds should be.

Instead of lighting a unity candle, we planted a tree during our ceremony. After our rehearsal, Tim and I went to a local plant nursery to choose our little tree.

Our delicious rehearsal dinner of southern style pulled pork was prepared by good friends Brinda & Nicky Teeter in our church.
After dinner, each of our parents and some of our friends shared stories about Tim and I. It was such a sweet time, and we felt so blessed having so many people that we love all in the same room.

As a surprise to me, my Dad and Grandma had been practicing the song "Sunrise, Sunset" without me knowing it. Toward the end of our rehearsal dinner celebration night, they preformed it for all of us.
